i have to do math homework but i also need to try not to suck at ball hockey and THE FINALS ARE ON TONIGHT so ya basically sorry miss.
ok we had “practice” today for ball hockey and i had more fun than i thought i would but lol @ how much i suck.
but ya anyways i’ve had my playbook for a day and i think i already need it to survive. it’s sooo useful for musical holy shit

there were literally 4 girls in the room and we were 2 of them, haha.
wow ok so we were at like the baby gaming conference while the big kids were at theirs (i’m not kidding there was a big one for adults with industry professionals in the main room and then us high schoolers in a smaller room with the doors closed lol)
but anyways we went to watch a seminar while the judges were talking (side note: it was really interesting and you should check gabe zichermann’s work out) and on the way back there were these girls walking back too.
then after we won the award we did an interview and the guy asked something along the lines of “after seeing the girls out there and how it seemed like that was ‘their place’ in the industry, do you feel obligated to follow this path just to help disprove the stereotypes and set a positive example?” and i’m not even sure what i said but i’ve thought about it a little more and basically i’m just kinda sad about this right now.
like it’s kinda fuckin ridiculous that they’re making it seem that the only place women have in the industry is modeling for the smart boys.

yup! my friend and i are splitting it though. and yeah, they actually just sponsored it. it’s across all ottawa high schools i guess and it was for our video games that we made in comm tech. :)
